I have a 2007 Mazda MX-5 grand tour- cloth top that has a small needle leak

in the sidewall rear L tire- help? The car has a instant mobility kit, with some Mazda brand goo! But it said to keep under 50mph-, and go directly to my dealership and have replaced. Would a plug or fix-a-flat not do??? Any other advice??? Thanks... SFVamp
 
Plugging a hole in the sidewall is a big no-no and no reputable tire shop will do it for you.

The previous post is correct in saying you're on the hook for a new tire.
 
If the hole is in the sidewall, you'll need to replace the tire. Since the sidewalls flex a lot, the seal will not hold.

Bite the bullet and get a new tire or two.
