I have a 2005 kawasaki ninja 500. Yesterday, it wouldn't turn on afterwork,?

but I would here a clicking sound every time that I would push the start button. Today, I got some tools and went to go locate that clicking sound and replace it, so I pushed the start button and THE BIKE STARTED. so now don't know exactly where it was coming from I'm scared that it will do it again if I dont take care of it soon as possible. I have a feeling that its my STARTER/SOLENOID. DOES ANYONE KNOW WERE IT'S AT EXACTLY LOCATED, I do know from the clicking yesterday, that its on the left side of the bike, but not sure where. I've never done mechanic stuff on this bike but the oil change and back brakes. Can someone help me out here. if possible does any one know where I can find a bike diagram, on line? Thanks everyone, and before I get a smart ass answer.....NO, I'm too broke at this time to take it to the shop. LOL
