I'm looking for a cheap, easy to self install alarm that will make some kind of loud noise if I have the alarm activated and someone opens the door. Here's the deal, I leave my doors unlocked because I have a few friends with soft-top wranglers and they advised me that its more cost efficient to let someone open the door and get in rather than cut open the soft-top and climb in (which happened to them). And, I've had my jeep broken into about 3 times right outside my apartment now. Landlord wont' do anything and its useless to report it to the police (I've tried both). Now I'm smart enough not to leave anything of value in there, but they still take stupid stuff (i.e. spare change, tire pressure gage, ink pens, etc.) and I'm just plain tired of them freely getting into my jeep right outside of my residence. So I'm looking for something that will make a loud noise to either scare them away or alert me so I can go outside and scare them away. Again, looking for cheap and easy to install. Thanks!
I have a dog, but I live in an apartment/townhome, surrounded by other apartments/townhomes. So I can't leave the dog outside (especially as it gets really cold here sometimes) and the dog is used to people being outside in the nearby area.
