I have a 2004 Honda Civic VP, with almost 70,000 miles on it-when do I change my belts?

I cannot get a straight answer on this one! My manual says 110,000 miles, I have heard 60,000 miles from numerous sources...I am following the "normal" driving conditions maintenance schedule, by the way. But even the "severe" driving conditions schedule doesn't have you change you belt at 60,000 miles-I'm going mad! I need a legit answer!

dont go by mileage go by shape

normal driving conditions maintenance schedule is about times when many might go bad or break doesnt mean that they will last that long or last longer... you replace when bad learn how to check belts and hoses wil save you money going by when maintenance schedule says is just a recomended time can go bad before that learn how to check

type into search box

how to check drive belts
how to check coolant hoses

about three to five yrs a normal time to start replacing dont mean you have to just smarter to replace before one breaks than to have a tow truck haul one to a shop is why you learn how to check and take care of the cars you drive

maintenance schedule is a guide as to when it should be done... you check can replace before if it needs it
