I have a 2004 Honda Accord, and the maintenance required light is on.?

when I had a 98 civic that would happen when it was time for an oil change and all i had to do was push a button to reset it, how do I reset this maintenance required light? Its not the check engine light, or anything like that.

step1Turn your car off.

Step 2Locate the odometer reset stem on your dashboard by the speedometer. It is beneath the "C" on the temperature gauge.

Step 3Put your key in the ignition, but don't turn it yet.

Step 4Press and hold the reset stem and turn the key to the point where the accessories (radio, console lights, etc.) come on, but do not start the car yet.

Step 5Continue to hold the reset stem until the "Maint Req'd" light goes off. This usually takes ten to fifteen seconds.

Step 6You are done! Now you can turn the key to the off position, or you can go ahead and start your car. The next time you start the car, the "Maint Req'd" light will light up (as do the rest of your console lights) and then shut off (like all of your console lights).
