Please help me diagnos what is wrong with my car. There is a clicking sound when I turn the key. The radio and dome light comes on when I turn the key. If this is the alternator, does anyone know how difficult they are to change? Thank you.

1 always start with battery...it takes 12,6+ volts to click over starter solenoid {click} 10 volts for lites and radio

put a trickle charger on the battery overnight, or jump start it with another car. If it starts, and you can't figure a reason why the battery may have been run low, then have it and the alternator checked to be sure they are working properly.

If the car won't turn over with a good jump start connection, and the battery shows full voltage on a meter, then look at the starter.

Good luck
