...code PO300? I have a 2004 Cadillac SRX 4.6 liter North Star engine. I have had the valve cover gaskets replaced because they were leaking on spark plugs causing a multi-misfire trouble code PO300. Lasted about a week and it is doing the same trouble code and misfiring again. Any ideas what could be causing it. I spent $620 to replace the valve covers gaskets.
 
Engine missfire is a code P0300

Could be

Faulty spark plugs or wires
Faulty coil
Faulty oxygen sensor
Faulty fuel injector
Burned exhaust valve
Faulty catalytic converter
Faulty EGR valve
Faulty camshaft position sensor
And last and most expensive Defective computer

Who ever told you the valve cover leaking could cause a p0300 is full of it. You would have to be dumping HUGE amounts of oil out the gasket to cause a plug to misfire.
