I have a 2003 toyota celica GT and i want to put a new system in w.o breaking bank.

Any suggestions? the factory system is JBL but they start to hurt my ears and the bass is too stiff and crisp for my liking.. the speakers could be better too. Im looking for a good buy with a lot of bass.. speakers subs and amp suggestions would be great. and i think it is a 6 speaker system with 6 and a half inch speakers?
