i have a 2002 buick lasabre....how do i know if its time for a tune-up? i dont wanna...

so long as the cars running fine, i wouldn't bother. i have a 93 grand am 147,000 miles on it and i'll bet i haven't had three tune ups on it it and it still runs perfectly. get the oil changes every 3,000 miles along with a new oil filter at the same time. when the car starts sputtering or not running correctly then think about a tune up.
good luck to ya. a new air filter and gas filter wouldn't hurt ONCE IN A WHILE but not every 3,000 miles.
