I regularly check and replace the air filter, sparkplugs, tire pressure check, and engine oil change. still the problem exists. I am planning to replace the ATF of my RAV4.

I have been trying to figure out what else are needed to be done. but to no avail.

I needed your help people.

Thank you.

First, check and inflate your tires to the proper pressure. Look on the side of the tire to find the proper pressure. Next, check your repair not owner's manual. See if there is a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. This is where the injectors are located. Have someone check your fuel lines, especially the return line. to see if it is kinked and or bent or clogged. This may cause increased fuel usage. Use a scan tool or go to the nearest auto parts store and have them check your engine codes to see if the engine PCM is reading something wrong or if there is a code that must be resolved.
Do you have any fuel leaks outside of the fuel tank or along the fuel lines?
Does your engine have any vacuum leaks? Use a can of carburetor spray and spray around and on the intake manifold to see if there are any vacuum leaks. The higher rpms may use more gas to run that something that idles properly.

Do you have a lot of miles?
Check that it is timed correctly as too slow means less mileage.
How about your catalytic converter & the rest of the exhaust system?
Any smell of gas outside the car?
I assume you do not drive like a "Wild Man" with crazy takeoffs.
Check your plug wires also.
