I imported_e40 New member Nov 19, 2009 #2 Yes pair of long needle nose pilars will do the trick, Thats how I got my hood open to replace the cable, Took me 15 mins.Just pull the cable on the latch the hood with pop up. Good Luck.

T the lock man New member Nov 19, 2009 #3 you have to get under the front of the car and get to the latch from under neath- and let me tell ya-this is not an easy thing to do-took me 4 hrs
