I'd like to find out if the problem could be fixed without buying a new or rebuilt transmission - we don't have the money.
The cable snapped and has been replaced. When the mechanic replaced the cable the computer did not put out any codes that anything was amiss... can it be a sensor of some sort?
We checked the one next to the windshield wipers, but that's not it. The check engine light is on.
We've done some homework that it could be an electrical problem and not a transmission problem.
Please help!
My son is a very handy mechanic, but has no experience in this department. If you have any suggestions, we will try them.
