I have a 2001 chevy venture, it makes a whining sound on acceleration that is?

far more prominent then the actual engine Acceleration sound it used to take an hour before Id here it but now it does it like right away. I can not figure out what it is. Please help me. The sound is constant when accelerating if i coast its not there if i even accelerate a little its there.
I dont know if it makes a difference to the first answer but it makes the sound in park if I rev the engine slightly. I can even open the hood and pull the wire a little and get the sound.
 
Sounds like a bad hub & bearing. Can't say which wheel it is though without driving it. Get it checked out as soon as possible because if the hub and bearing locks up while you are driving, it will cause you to lose control of the vehicle.
