I have a 2000 Mazda Protoge. My check engine light came up.?

I had it checked. It results with DTC P0172. Something about the fuel system being too rich and it's preventing the car from passing the smog check. If I replace the Mass AirFlow sensor, would that fix my problem? And is it possible to do it myself? I'm pretty handy.
