to give a slight jerk from 2nd Gear? When i accelerate with a steady foot the car will give me a slight jerk when coming from 1st gear and proceed to climb speed and just another slight jerk when coming from 2nd gear and from there it will run normally and strong. Ive noticed that when i position the accelerator to be in sync with the gears shifting ("as a manual transmission") the jerking no longer occurs. But I just want to know why it jerks when I keep the accelerator in one place and progress through the gears. Could it be that i need to change my transmission fluid, Or engine mounts? The car is in perfect condition and i keep it maintained all the time, it runs like a champ and this is the only problem. Only been under the hood once for a battery.

A slight jerk is normal between gears, notice the rpm would fluctuate also.

If its too much, it could be a worn out gear in the trans, a fluid change will not solve the problem, but its always good to have clean trans fluid.

The 2000 Accords were recalled before for transmission problems. They extended the warranty on the transmission to 7 yrs. Mine did not
have any problems and still running strong.
