I have a 1GB data service plan with Rogers, but BBM doesn't work?

I just got a BB Bold 9900 yesterday, and with it I got a 1GB data service plan. But when I try to use facebook or bbm it doesn't work. so bbm doesn't work at all cause it doesnt work on wifi. what could the problem be? how do i activate the data and bbm? i should have it. thanks
 
Rogers has two types of data plans, one type that includes BIS (Blackberry Internet Server) access and one that doesn't. Sounds like you have the wrong type on your account. You can call in to customer service and ask them to put the Blackberry 1GB plan on instead. It will be the same price but include the code for your BB device to work. Once they put the correct plan on, you can power your device off, then on again. Should work fine after that.
