i have a 1999 chevy s10 and just bought a lift kit,?

comes with new shocks all the way around, new spindles for front, and add a leaf for back, how does this work do i have to do an axle flip for the back, because i thought if i add any leafs or blocks in back it would lower it becuse the axle is over the leaf springs, not under......please help
