I have a 1998 jeep grand cherokee it started leaking out the transmission fluid it wont

drive whats wrong? I was driving it on the express way and as soon as I got off this person told me it was leaking and as soon as i pushed the gas it started forcing itself to drive so we pulled to the side and it started leaking a bunch of transmission oil now it wont drive and im trying to figure out whats wrong with it and how much it would cost to fix it
