i have a 1998 ford Explorer limited and the alarm will not stop going off

when i try to connect the positive? battery cable, is there a way to disable the alarm?
 
Find the speaker or horn speaker the alarm is coming from. disconnect the power to it. plug the battery in. wait for the lights to stop flashing, or time the alarm till it stops make noise. Then when the lights stop flashing connect your horn or speaker back.
