For about a month it has been slowly cranking during startup. It always started, but cranked for a good 3-5 seconds before it would actually start. The past day or two it would it has taken an extra second or two and when I went out to start the car this afternoon it wouldn't start.
When I turn the key now I have juice to the radio and accessories, but the car doesn't turn over at all. I tried banging on the starter to see if it would start, but it didn't. I had this exact same symptom with my Blazer and a new starter fixed it. I was originally thinking the battery was just old.
Any ideas?
OK idiots. The car has gas and "check the ignition" is a worthless answer.
