I have a 1996 Mazda 626 that has two automatic cooling fans?

One of the fans is not coming on, causing my car to overheat. Using a testing light I saw that it isn't getting any power. Where is the power source for the fan and would it be ok if I just straight wired it to the other fan?
 
can run a wire from battery to fan that is not working and tell if its bad or not easy way to check if you run a wire from battery to fan and it doesnt start you need a fan
