It is unresponsive like the first 3 to 5 times i try to start it. It turns over fine but will not start until like the 4th or 5th time. When it starts 9 times out of ten it idles fine. The 1 time of ten its ridiculously rough running. This rough running i can take care of by hammering the gas peddle a few times then it runs fine. This is where the plot thickens. Now when it is idling fine and all seems well I try to take off and it falls flat on its face almost like it is not getting fuel, unless i hammer down the peddle to the floor and it takes off like a bat out of hell untill i take my foot out of the engine. Then it is acting the same as on take off. Falls on its face whenever i try to accellerate, unless i stomp the gas again. Plugs, wires, fuel filter are all brand new as of 1 week ago. These replacements did nothing to help the situation. It seems to me as if it is not getting enough fuel unless i floor it, but i am not a mechanic so I am not sure. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this truck to run like this?
I have a 1995 chevy s10 4 cylinder 2.2 liter. Recently it has been starting very hard.?
