I Removed my throttle body and cleaned it replaced it now my engine idles rough and surges as if to much air was entering the intake. Changed all sensors and EGR valve can some tell me if i was suppose to replace the paper gasket and can that be the cause of the erractic idle and surge? Thank you for your time and patients!

Yes, it sounds like a vacuum leak has developed since you re-installed the throttle body. Recheck to make sure you don't have any damaged vacuum lines or missing vacuum caps, etc. If that checks out, then remove the throttle body and check to see if some dirt or something has gotten stuck between the throttle body and the intake manifold. If not, then I would replace the gasket as a matter of course, simply for the fact that once an original gasket is disturbed, it will never seal as well again. Good luck!

You probably forgot to clean out your idle air control valve, or forgot to re-connect the wiring harness to it. This little "gizmo" is controlled by the CPU,which gets signals from your O2 sensor to raise or lower idle speed. Do yourself a favor, and install a set of Bosch platinum, Fusion, or nippondenso Iridium or Twin Tip plugs. You will be amazed how much more power is availabe and how much money on gas you save, too!! It is also possible that the ":surge" is a by product of having a dirty O2sensorr. Install a Bosch unit here, too, if things don;'t get better. Also, start using Mobil 0W-30 oil to keep your engine guts clean. You will save money in the long run because you only need to change it every year or year and a half!
