I Start it up and it does start. Problem is the battery gauge shows it low at the first line, then as you drive for a while it starts dying out
its not holding a charge. I Just Bought a new Alternator yet still its happening ...then for some reason it has a Voltage Regulator that running straight from the Alternator. My 91' Cherokee didnt have one it was a 2wd.I hope Someone Can Help ...Please .... I Have Lost Sleep over this i have been staying up for a month now! just for this trying to fix this....

I have a '93.........the 4 wheel drive will have nothing to do with it.......check to see if you got a bad alternator....most of them are rebuilt and I've got "new" ones in the past that did not work right. otherwise it has to be the battery or the voltage regulator.

This is confusing. You start it right up, which means the battery has charge. Then, the battery dies while you are driving, but still starts right back up? This makes no sense.
