I have a 1994 Buick Pk Ave y is the clear coat fading off.?

My car is Burgundy and, I have seen other cars of the same color same result. The color is faded in some areas. Is this a result of over waxing?
 
nope its just the result of GM using cheap clear coat. when you get your car repainted tell them to use a urethane clear coat.
 
It is probably bad clear coat. There are products out there that will remove oxidation. Check out Surf City's web site. They make a lot of products that may be able to help with your problem. You can also contact them and explain what problem you are having.
