the blinkers work sometimes and sometimes they dont work at all.. why do they do that could there be a short some where???or could it be a bad flasher .... Wait i dont even think i have a flasher
 
I just bought a Taurus mines a 95 which is at the end of the second gen your is at the beginning. The best think to do it to check the bulb then check under the dash for fuses and wiring.
 
First replace your flasher these are usually not that expensive. If this does not work then check for a short somewhere. As above if you had a bad fuse, the blinkers would not work AT ALL. Most likely is a short somehwere in the wiring. First check your ground for the blinkers as this could have come this. More hance of a ground coming loose that a wire being split underneath the dash. So replace flasher, check the grounds, then go after the "hot" wires. hope this helps.
