...intake? It will run as long as I squirt gas into the intake but will shut down as soon as Iquit squirting
 
carburetters dirty,gumed up,and/or the fuel pumps the same. I'm sure you ran it last year,shut it down at end of season and that was it. Obviously it's not getting fuel through the carb. I'm sure it's gummed and should be cleaned, but a quick cheat you may try is, give the carb a good smack on the side with a small hammer. if the float is stuck this usually jars them loose. don't beat on it and break something. if it doesn't work on the first try. Don't keep pounding. You have to find why the fuel is not getting from the tank throught the carb. A 1992? has it been sitting along time?
 
That sounds like you need to overhall the carb. it really sounds like the flote in the carb is stuck in the closed position not letting the gas flow into the carb.
 
Clean the carbs> Sat to long with bad fuel in it> Drain the tank> Run carb cleaner in tank after carbs cleaned>
