I have a 1988 ford mustang with a couple problems.?

my 88' stang has been modded to be mass air before i bought it..it ran fine than after change out the spark plugs and wires coil and ignition module and now the coil now keeps arcing and is missing through normal aceleration. i am trying to trouble shoot it and cant seem to find the problem with the car..i would be highly appreciative with anyones guesses to what may be the problems...thank you very much for your time.
 
if you are going to put a distributor cap, like it has been suggested, also replace the rotor. Look inside the cap to see if there are any scorch marks, or any visible lines from one terminal to another. If there are, then your cap is carbon tracked and chances are replacing it will fix the problem. Also, worn distributor bushings could cause you to have running problems.
