Its very hard to drive it on the freeway, because it takes a longtime to pick-up speed. When you give it extra gas it hesitates, A LOT!!! I really love my van...can someone help me?????

Sounds like bad spark plugs or clogged fuel injectors. If you havent done it for a while give your van a good tune up with New Spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, air filter and put a bottle of chevron techron in the gas at your next fill up. if you have a check engine light on get it taken care of too.

How long has it been since the fuel filter has been changed? It almost sounds like a starvation type of problem. That would be what I would try first. If the fuel pressure isn't at the manufactures recommended pressure, that will cause a hesitation.
Another quick check is to look at the cap and rotor to see what condition they are in. It doesn't sound like anything major. Those vans were never quick, but they did have ample power to merge into traffic. Good luck!! Hope it all works out for you.
