In older Dodge vehicles (such as mine) the dash lites would go out to alert you to a tail light problem. Check your tail lites.
 
light will not light up? i just bought the truck and i replaced two fuses can anybody tell me what number the fuse will be that will be causing the problems or tell me what else it could be.
 
I would have to say it is probally a fuse check your owners manual for a fuse layout.also take the pannel off the driverside kick panel under the steering wheel and look to c if any wires have been cut or the fuse box under there is messed up.They could have had a remote start system and removed it when they sold the vehicle
