i have a 1985 pontiac fiero gt that cranks when it wants?

ok i turn the ignition and i hear my fuel pump and cruise control solinoid but no crank i turn the ignition over and over for 10 min and then finaly it cranks yes theres fuel and its a new starter with good cables and all fuses are good what do i do
