I have a 1976 cadillac seville and I need to know what kind it is.Please help.?

Your question is a bit cryptic. I THINK you're asking what kind of transmission you have....
TH400 probably. I don't think the 4-spd trannys came out until the early 80's. Check with your local wrecking/recycling yard. They have cross-reference books that's tell you what the car has in it.

Get the serial # or the Vin # from the left front Windshield in the bottom left corner look the tranny up with that . and you will get all the compatible tranny's O.K.Do.K.?

You've already said it's a Caddy Seville. You might be asking about the transmission. Production designation S69 The Seville was a 4 door sedan. It weighs 4230 lbs and was equipped with a 350 c.i.d. V-8 engine that was rated 180 HP. Take a look here, maybe this will help.

The ID Tag on the the transmission will give information you need. The shape of the oil pan will give you the type. Then you hap to match the shape of the pan with the chart. There are two types.metric will be marked on the oil pan. Or it is standard.
