I was wondering if anyone knew if there were anyways to get better traction for the 1967-1973 Chevy trucks besides tubbing them and putting drag slicks since there's very few or no traction kits available for their type of rear end suspension, any answers or
comments are so very appreciated

We have a 1965 C10 pickup that we just finished building up (resto rod). We basically threw out the whole rear end and swapped in a late model disc brake rear end with coil springs. That worked out quite well but we think we can do better. So the coil springs are getting tossed in favour of an air bag system and a better stabilizer bar setup. We tow a boat with this truck and we need a bit more lateral stability so out with the Panhard setup and in with a Watt's linkage instead. Traction was never an issue with the coil springs and air shocks but the back end would sometimes get a trifle squirrly under really hard acceleration.

In drag racing we always built our own pinion snubber, thats keeps the rear end from tilting up and changing pinion angle. If you set the truck up with approximantly - 4 degres you should be close, and you can work from there.Just be careful of to much downward pionion angle
