If you have $8000 cash you've got plenty of money for a nice used Camry. Forget the loan, the high interest and the monthly commitment and pay cash for the car. There is absolutely no reason to go into long term debt just for a car. Use that $500 a month for more important things like housing, education and savings.

if you can afford it get a new one. Best way to find out is go to a toyota dealer where they will have both new and used toyota's.
