heres my story... i am (was) on probation for some drug charges..(3 poss of paraphenalia, 2 poss of marijauna, and poss of controlled substance 3rd degree) all misdemeanors... i had to travel once a week 45 mins out of my way before 5 oclock on random days to take a urine test, and once a week on fridays to see my probation officer... so most of the time 2 times a week. i was tired off it.. i couldnt hold a job becuase of it so i said forget it.. im wasnt going to do it anymore.. but knowing i have a warrant out for my arrest is bothersome.. and i want to turn myself in around january.. but knowing that i am an abscounder will that add more time? a new charge? a felony maybe? i hope its just seen as a probation violation.. i really want to put all of this behind me and go back to school and become a police officer.. i hope this doesnt ruin my chance of doing what i dream.. i know i can become a cop if i have no felonies or a morally demeaning charge on my record but does that include drugs? i figure that mean violance, theft, etc.. but i am going to serve my time in january, and will be on my best behavior to hopefully be a trustee in jail to get out sooner but what should i expect.. ive been to jail before so i dont need to know what it will be like.. it sucks i know. but what should i expect when they throw the book at me? will it be worse than i think or will it be smooth and gentle the way i hope?
I have 4 mos in county jail to spend... about how long will i actually do?
