about 1200 watts peak power? it bumps good but the amp gets super hot and will shut off frequently whats wrong?

will a kenwood 1800 watt class D work
my subs can handle about 400 watts continuisly. i heard its not getting enough ventalation, ( the amp is screwed in the back of my seat)
