I have 100 pounds of cow manure in my car...

Look! My first zucchini! :yay: (and that's a sprig of fresh basil with it)

I won't be doing much with my garden for another two months probably. It seems we get a good freeze in late March at least every year.

That's so cute that Tuppence "guards" the garden :)

Wow! The string trellis for the peas must have taken a lot of work, Lem.

I just spent an hour in the garden inventing a trellis for the peas. :) They've grown a lot in just one week.

....It's almost springtime and I've got to go manure shopping again! The seedlings for my vegetable garden are nearly big enough to plant. :)

 I remember when my twin nephews left a plastic snake stuffed behind the seat with the head sticking out, and I thought that it was the real thing.

My poor little garden may not survive...I've just heard the weather report and it says that we're gonna have rain for the next five days or so. Anyway I took a couple of pictures yesterday even though there's nothing much to see yet.

Note the "garden guardian" under the plant bench. That's my feral cat Tuppence. She thinks that the garden is her special place.

And here's the green bathtub. The pea seeds in it are already sprouting. :)

:D ....I have five kids, three of which are boys, you do not want to know what I find in the back of my car

Well, I battled the yard for almost seven hours today but I came out victorious! We've had so much rain lately that I haven't been able to mow. I finally tackled that today. The yard did put a good fight: mower got stuck and had to be pulled out with chain and four-wheeler, weeds ate up three spools of weedeater cord, and I came out looking like I'd been caught in a briar bush, scratched, bruised and blistered. But I was victorious!

It's not one of those pretty bathtubs. It's just a generic old fiberglass bathtub.

But I painted it green, and I seeded it full of peas and put a trellis over it for the peas to grow on. :)

Will take pictures once the peas get started.

................I've been working on my garden and it turns out that I had enough cow poo but not enough top soil so it's back to Home Depot for me.

:look: No one else has admitted having anything really truly strange in their car...besides LittleMilkJug that is. ;)

The title certainly did draw me in

It doesn't take much to reach 100 lbs, though. When I got mulch, which didn't cover much of my garden, I think I had 6 25 lb bags

:D Well, I thought about it when I was driving home from the store and it made me laugh....and then I began to wonder what other people had in their cars! :look:

And I'm not really sure exactly how much manure my container garden will need because I'm mixing all the soil ingredients as I go--I hope I've bought enough. :goof:
