I hate Math.

That is totally what we need guys! A math tutoring thread! Where people can ask questions about math/english/whatever, and other wtf members can help them!

Again, theres no shame in taking extra time to finish highschool.

I'm really good at math. But I suck at physics for some reason. I thought they would be the same...

I'm really good at Math once I learn it. It's the learning part I suck at because I'm lazy and easily distracted. I've taken Advanced Functions and Intro to Calculus three times now, and I still can't finish it. All the biginning I can do now though because I've taken it three times :P

What kind of Math is it?

I love math. The harder it is, the more challenging it is for me. The more challenging it is, the more I enjoy it.

Sadly in lower school, they helpd me back in class and put me in the lower level math class because I refused to do my homework. That was because I was already doing the math work for the following year and I was bored. I got 100's on all my tests and it only took me about 5 minutes to do my homework...when I did it. The teachers only figured out when I was in middle school that putting me in teh lower level course just because of lack of homework only made the problem worse. I needed to be challeneged, not babied.

I didn't do wo well in physics either. I had some issues with geometry as well, but once I got the hang of proofs, I did just fine. Otherwise, I learn super fast.

I wish I could help you Jesse! Just try to think of the math problems as steps to take in order to find the answer and not as a big jumble of numbers that seem to have some sort of deep meaning behind them. ...then again, I dont' know exactly where you specifically get confused when working with a math problem. I just hope that helps to some degree :)

Because when you get into the business world, you will have to write any of the following no matter how good your math is:

Business and/or research proposals
Research methods, mathematics, and so forth
Recommendations based on your mathematical research

And no matter how good your math is, if you can't write correctly you will either have to spend thousands on someone like me writing it for you, or you will write it yourself. And if it can't be read coherently and logically, the board of directors or managers or other readers will laugh at you no matter what your math has realized.

PS: I am actually pretty good at math. But I still think it is the language of the Devil.

Hey DG, did you ever think about the fact that, if you knew about all the variables of the universe, you could theoretically make a super equation and predict every single event over billions of years?

Maybe that super equation would be like, how "God" "programmed" the world... wooooaaah wtf that should be in Fringe Theory. Whatever..

Actually I totally agree. If you consider the pure mathematical relatioships found in everything from matter to anit matter to dark matter, atoms to nucleus to electrons, protons and quarks, not to mention string theory, theory of relativity, chaos theory, and so forth.....

everything is based on math. Unfortunatly, much of what we consider math is no more than a mathematical assumption based on the physical and natural world that completely ignores the super and supra physical and natural dimensions. And that includes the minute knowledge we have of the 13 purely mathematical dimensions that can not exist in our logical and natural physical world, yet can be mathematically proven to exist. Taking into consderation that there are 9 levels of hell, that leaves 4 mathematical dimensions, one of which could be purgatory, another gaol (where souls are stored), another could be heaven, and the last could easily be God, because even in heaven God is said to be upon a throne that is at once part of, yet seperate from, heaven.

So yep. I totally believe thats possible.

Some people are good at some things, but not at others. So math isn't your strong point....are you good at any other subjects? I have trouble in English, but have a 100 in Calculus, and a 97 in Physics. If you ever need help with one of those I can probably help. Just send me a message.
