I hate going to the cinema because other people go too...

get annoyed by children keep asking questions and wanting to go to the toilet all the time why cant they shut up and if they want the toilet they can hold it in.

Thank goodness for home cinema. I'd rather wait a few months for the DVD/Blu-ray, in the comfort of my home, and not be ushered into the pen with all of the other idiots, mindlessly munching the extortionately priced crap whilst gawping at the bright colours, acting like they're the only ones in there.

Nah, not a fan of the cinema experience. I do go on the rare occasion when I simply must see the film before everybody starts talking about it. But crikey, they should film the audiences in some of the screenings, they'd be ashamed, or should be, at some of the behaviour and general slobbery on display.
 
I hate it when you are sitting waiting for the film to start, people are still coming in, and you get a bunch of jumped up idiot teens who sit right behind you (even if it is really quiet) and all night you hear then making slight laughing and silly noises, and you just worry that they are going to do something like stick gum to you, or throw stuff at you, kick your chair etc (i'm not saying all teenagers are bad, but you sort of have that feeling when some are)

I haven't been to the cinema for ages. I don't mind waiting a bit longer and just buy the dvd, watch in my own home, on my comfy sofa, big 46" tv, can watch it in HD with blu ray PS3, can eat and drink what i like, pause when ever i like, perfect!
 
This is going to sound terrible but I always avoid Friday morning screenings as that is when all the carers meet up to take the adults they are looking after to the films. They make a lot of noise during the film (not saying they all do - just this specific bunch). I never complain as I would feel like the biggest prick but if I didn't have an unlimited card I would be well miffed if I had paid full whack.

My sister-in-law works as a carer and she says she would never take her charge to the cinema.
 
Blimey, I feel the same plus I get some a/hole kick my seat and giggle from behind.

The price of food and some places saying you can't take your own and the smelly food, that cheese is evil:vomit smiley:

People are late arriving, get your fking arse outta my face:mad:
 
Wow, I worked in a Cinema not far from Gloucester and we had exactly the same issue with Gypsies, every Sunday without fail. Even worse they demand their money back once they'd been kicked out! We banned them and they kicked off so badly we had to call the police. I wonder if it's the same ones?! :eek:

Being an ex-cinema employee, my advice to customers is to let a member of staff know asap if another customer is disrupting the film for you. We'll happilly remove them if need be (seriously, some of my colleagues seemed to enjoy confrontation!)
The most annoying thing ever is when the film is over, and a moany customer comes up to you and starts shouting and demanding their money back because some teenagers were talking/laughing through the film and it spoiled it for them. Why didn't you let us know sooner?! We don't have time to check on the screens during the film, so we have no way of knowing unless someone makes us aware of a problem :)

I agree about food, I bleeping hated serving - and cleaning up after - people's food!

Also, for those wanting to avoid adverts, on most films they are 20 mins long, so arrive in the screen 20 mins after the time stated on your ticket to avoid them!

I love the cinema-but... Also hate people who like to sit next to,behind or in front of me even when I am oozing obvious hostility! Sit somewhere else you morons!

I hate crackling sweet wrappers,popcorn scrabbling noises,talking,people kicking the back of my seat,smells,arms on my arm rest(yes,I was here first),mobile phone checks,endless toilet visiting,dirty seats,and having to queue too long in the first place!
I also hate those repetitive adverts from orange!!!
 
Big hats, 7 foot tall people and beehive hairdo's. The fact that i cannot touch the floor on these massive seats... I look like Ronnie Corbett in them.
 
If we did that then WE would miss part of the film, I never get up out of my seat until the film has finished. So why should I be punished twice over because some moron is talking during a film.
 
I appreciate that, but would you rather miss 5 minutes to dash out the door and get someone to help, or have the whole film ruined by some noisy chavs?

As much as I'd liked to have done, we weren't allowed to ban people because they *looked* like trouble, they had to actually do something first.
 
I hate the fact that it can take almost an hour for the film to actually start because of advertising (I like trailers, but I also remember a time when you didn't have the adverts at the cinema that you have to put up with at home). If I recall, it took 50 minutes for the Harry Potter 4 film to start.

Overpriced snacks and the fact that ticket prices seem to be steadily increasing to ridiculous levels.

Children in the cinema (I tend to see a lot of films of that nature so I shouldn't expect anything less, but during WALL-E the parent behind me kept explaining to the kid what was happening. I'm sorry, but wait for the DVD release, please).

Getting there to find all the good seats taken and having to sit at the front.

well i HATE cinema going so much as i had every film i attended ruined by chav scum.

we watch films on the wall at 9ft across and you really cannot beat it.
 
I hate people being too close. I usually wait til a film has been out for ages before I go.

I get really annoyed if it's too busy or full or someone sits near me when there are other seats!

Going to cinema tonight I think.
 
Totally with you on all this. I cannot fathom why people go to the cinema then spend their time talking rather than watching. I've actually shouted 'shut the f**k up' before and got a round of applause.
 
All of the above annoy me too, especially eating and talking. I'd ban food. I can put up with people talking during the aRAB and trailers, but it annoys me if they continue over the opening credits because as far as I'm concerned they are part of the film, and sometimes are important.

Usually I got to late showings where there aren't many other people. Also I like to sit near the front, and most people seem to prefer the back, so as long as it's not crowded I have plenty of distance.
