Im not that great of a driver, well especially now that I'm learning stick in the truck I bought.. Ive been going at it about a week now and I'm getting better... lol.

I only have a learners permit, and the few times I went I sucked ass. I stalled pretty much every time I shifted.

We've all been there. :happysad: I had to teach myself how to drive a standard.

It feels like I'm teaching myself, cause everything people tell me about shifting and when to push/release the clutch makes no sense, and they often contradict each other.

Press the gas as you're releasing the clutch.

It takes a bit to get used to, but once you get the balance right it's a walk in the park.

shifting takes a bit to get use to. my first car(not really mine) was a shifter...the first couple of days was terrible trying to learn on my own. one thing you dont wanna do is keep switching back and forth between two gears in the middle of a 4-way street...the car tends to just stop in the middle of that 4-way street and you will have all the cars in a 1 mile radius honking their horn at you:redface:

Old people annoy me, if their not in the car at 15MPH - going down to 5MPH at a bump, their going across the road without looking like their actually trying to get run over. Old People + Cars = Trouble.

Just release the clutch slower... . it takes some getting used to. It pissed me off when I first started.
