I had my local bike shop make me a bike chain bracelet but it slices me when

I take a shower? All the people in the store had these bicycle chain bracelets that they had made and they are really cool. The downside is they have a tendency of slicing/ cutting your skin when washing with soap in the shower. Does anyone know of a way to prevent this from happening without getting rid of the bracelet? Do they make something that can connect the chain together and make it easy to remove and put back on like any other bracelet? Please help. I don't want to change my soap to liquid and I like the bracelet.
