I had abnormal pap smear test which came back with CIN3 pre-cancerous cells?

I had to have them surgically removed under General Anaesthetic because of the extent of and how much of my cervix and vaginal wall it covered. I had my follow-up appointment 6 months after the surgery where another pap smear has been taken and after 8 weeks received no results but another letter from the Consultant asking me to meet with her. Now of course I am worried that this has not been rectified and got worse over the past 6 months, possible now cancerous. I am the mother of 2 young children, there only caregiver, there father lives overseas. Has anyone experienced this?
