I had a negative pregnancy test, Could I be pregnant?

Let me just fill you in on what has been going on...First off my period is late this month, I figured it was because the week i was supposed to get my period I was away traveling for a week without my husband. My period was due between June 22-25 still no sign. So when i got home a took a pregnancy test =NOT pregnant, which didn't surprise me because we have always used protection (Condoms)BUT Sunday night the 28 we had unprotected sex because we are ready to start trying for a baby. Still no sign of my period, but I have felt a constant pain on my right ovary nothing major just kinda crampy All day Monday, I haven't felt the pain since then. Is it possible that I just OVULATED late this month? And could we possibly have conceived Sunday night?
*July 7,2009 still no sign of period.
I felt queezy Saturday& Sunday all day on&Off. My breast started feeling very sore sunday night, and are still sore and have def gotten a little larger.

* I took a BLOOD TEST yesterday and got my results today= Negative, Doctor thought it may have been To Soon to test and I am going back in on Friday to retest.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
 
From what I know: Delays of starting a period or no period can be caused by several factors besides pregnancy. Strenuous activity, traveling, stress can all play a part in it. You are smart to go to a doctor for a blood test confirmation, even though it resulted in negativity. He could be correct about the time factor, so don't get upset or worry until after your blood test on Friday. Although blood tests are accurate, keep in mind that mistakes can be made in doing the analysis.
 
Yeah, you may need to retest in a week or so. My gf didn't show up pregnant on her initial urine or blood test either but when the nausea started we knew we should check again. Now we are proud parents of a 3 month old.
 
a blood test in very accurate. I took a home pregnancy test and it was negative but come to find out i was still pregnant at the time i just wasn't producing enough hormones. Also if you are trying and stressing about not getting pregnant that could be a huge reason why you aren't pregnant yet.
 
some times that happens Just relax your self, you'll know when it is time to test again. don't rush it. your body may be adjusting it's self if there is a prince or princess. enjoy
 
1 out of 4 women misread their pregnancy tests, and you could possible be that one. If you had unprotected sex, right around the time you are supposed to have your period, it is very probable that you could be pregnant. I'd take another reliable pregnancy test.

if you did ovulate on monday it would be a high chance of conceiving from sunday as it takes about 10 hours for the sperm to get to the destination and it is better to have intercourse the day before you think you are ovulating for better chances. as for blood tests you have to be MORE than 2 weeks pregnant (after the day of conception) before it will be positive. im not sure if you would be getting symptoms yet, its a bit early. it is hard because period symptoms can be the same a early preg signs. hold tight untill friday and get the blood test again. good luck
 
I hate to be the downer here, but it could be an ovarian cyst or polyp. I have had the same thing and am going through it again this month. You get all the preg. symptoms including nausea and back pain, painful ovaries and frequent urination, you can't get a positive test and your period is very late. Be patient and wait and see. I hope you are pregnant, but don't freak out if you are not. Just keep trying! Good luck! I will sprinkle baby dust for you!
