I took a few sips of apple juice around 9:20, it is now 9:58.
I have my wisdom teeth surgery at 1:30, will it be okay? I am being put under for it.

Hi...your dentist didn't even tell you if you would be under anesthesia or not?Usuallyy the dentist or the dental assistant tells you what not to do before getting your teeth taken out.I had a wisdom tooth taken out about 5 weeks ago.I also had an IV put into my vein, before the surgery(of course) and the dentist came in and he put a pink gel onto a cotton q-tip(long one),then he rubbed it into the tooth area. Then after just 1 or 2 minutes he then injected the novacaine into the area of the wisdom tooth. Then when the novacaine took effect he then gave me some kind of drug into my IV,it made me kinda 'high',then he started working and cutting out my tooth.I then said it kinda hurts me,he then asked me if I wanted more of the IV medication,I said yes he gave me a little more. The next thing I knoew I was all done,he put about 5 stitches in the area.He gave me some pain-killers to take and an antiboitic. It really hurt the first day,but after the first day it did not bother me at all.I was TOLD not to eat or drink 12 hours before the surgery...That's why I asked you if your dentist told you not to eat or drink 12 hours prior to the surgery.I ate anyways 2 hours before my surgery and it didnt bother me at all.But I think some people get sick at their stomach if they eat before the anesthesia...All will be ok,just I advise you NOT to eat anything, but a drink is ok nothing to worry about.I just hope your dentist ia as GREAT as mine....:).

It shouldn't cause any problems. They usually instruct you not to eat/drink anything before general anaesthetic to prevent the contents of your stomach entering your lungs when you are unconscious. Your apple juice will have probably moved on from your stomach by the time you have your surgery anyway, and it was only a very small amount, so I wouldn't worry.
