One time!! This was way back when I was being medicated for anxiety and depression... I was in the parking lot of my now g/f apt., driving home from some guys' house at the other end of the parking lot. So we were driving through a parking lot at 3 in the morning. We were going normal speed, about 10/15 mph, and I turned up the wrong way, and had to come out and turn back on to the main appt road (Apt roads here..some of them lead out, and some of them make a U). So we pull out and all the sudden red and blue lights. I have no idea what I am being pulled over for.
So this is my first time being pulled over and I am nervous and my medication magnifies my shakiness. When I hand him my liscense and reg. I balance my hand on the window to stunt my shaking. He said the reason he pulled me over was that I looked lost and there had been a report of a suspicious looking car/ people that might want to steal cars. *I'm an innocent looking young girl and so is my g/f* So he leaves and 20 minutes later two other squad cars block off the apt road. He makes us sit on the curve....Then he drug tests me (I am completely sober at the time) and tells me he's a DRE which is someone who is certified to tell you if you're under the influence or not. Then he preceded to tell me that, I was under the influence of something. I told him the medications I was taking and among them was lithium *(for a supposed bi-polar problem that is no longer) and I over heard him talking to the next officer and he told him he didn't know what "Bi polar" was....How can you be a DRE and not know what bi polar disorder is. He let me go an hour later with no ticket. I was pissed.
