I got my positive pregnancy test....but...?

but it was the FAINTEST line if you ever did see one. I actually thought it was negative, but after looking at it in better lighting, I saw the 2nd line =D It was soooo incredibly faint though. I smiling bounced into where my husband was to show him, and I brought a flash light so he could definitely see it. And he did, but since it was sooooo light he doesn't believe it. So instead of sharing excitement together, he just opened another test and tried seeing if that line was visible as well on the un used test. And still is unconvinced, so still nothing more than a smile from him.

Has anyone elses husband done this before? If so, how did you handle it?
 
My hubby did. We both kind of already knew I was pregnant. I was extremely *itchy! Still I took the test a few days before my period was due and got a faint line. I took it and showed him and he said "it doesn't look positive to me". I wanted to slap him. Try taking another one in the morning with your first urine. That should make it a little darker. My sister in law had the same issue with her hubby too. Maybe it's a guy thing. Good luck and congrats!
 
No matter how light or dark - if there are two lines you're pregnant. Congrats! My hub paced back and forth "waiting for the line to get darker" never did. It was faint. So he drove to the store and bought 4 digital ones lol.
 
If you are early on into your pregnancy it WILL be very faint, but even the faintest of lines is positive. I suggest getting a "First Response EARLY RESULTS" test (not the digital one, the one with the lines) and retesting with first morning urine tomorrow.

I tested at 9 days past ovulation and I got the faintest positive line, the same as you, where you had to turn it to the side and have it under a 9000 watt light bulb to actually see it... but it was there. My husband did the same thing as yours is doing which just crushed me and made me think that I was seeing things. Anyhow the next morning I got up and did another test and it came up positive too, still faint but you could see it with out the runway lights and having it positioned just so so. FINALLY he saw the line and believed that I was pregnant! I continued to take a new test every day for about 3 more days haha (its fun to watch it turn positive.)

Just hang in there, dont get too pissed or hurt because of the way your hubby is acting. Retest first thing in the morning and I bet that line will be even darker ;)
 
CONGRATULATIONS!!! A positive is a positive no matter how faint!!!

Guys are so clueless sometimes! He didn't mean to upset you. They don't think of the way these things come across -- especially to a pregnant lady who is stressed! He just doesn't get how much you've been thinking and wondering and worrying about it!

Your levels are still low. You're not even due for your period for a couple of days so no worries!! Take a test again in a day or two with a FMU and before you know it you'll have your BFP! Then you can go up to him, show him, do the "told ya so dance" and celebrate!

In the mean time, WE believe you!! :) Congrats!! :)
 
Test in a few more day in the morning when you should have more HCG. The line will be darker and more convincing to your husband.
 
Yes, mine did. I made him come look while I was still on the toilet to see if I was really seeing it. I know it will be hard but wait 2-3 days and test again, you will have more hcg in your system (it doubles every 72 hours). My husband didnt really believe it until I went to the doctor. I told him a doctor telling me didnt make me any more or less pregnant. Totally stressed me out...
 
Yep. Same thing happened with me. My first one I thought I was just seeing the 2nd line but it wasnt really there cause it was so faint. I went and bought 2 of the dollar tree cheap ones and both of those worked great! Those were about 30 minutes after the walmart tests!
