I live in cali and i just took my drivings test...i failed because of one critical error. but that isn't my question.

mine is..he said that i dont' check traffic before i turn or something, is till have my paper here and it does have alot of circles on the traffic check side...but

i was sure that i checked traffic, after i stopped on a red sign or light, i check left and right then go. so i don't know what he was trying to say, anyone got an idea?

I think what the driving instructor means is that you may not have yielded to traffic. The thing is that you said you stopped at a light or at every stop sign before driving forward, but you should yield to all on coming traffic. When you see yield signs you need to slow up and then if there is no traffic coming proceed. So he may have caught you not yielding to traffic in all situations. Sometimes is not good enough. You have to yield to traffic in every situation. And if you don't then the driving instructor will notice. Also you need to know that the driving instructor checks to see if you are changing lanes to quickly without checking your mirrors properly. Always check every mirror. If you don't, then the instructor will take points.

Check where other cars are at while driving. Even when not turning, you should be looking every now and then at your rearview and side view mirrors, and checking blindspots even when no changing lanes. It's part of defensive driving. Knowing where others are in order to prevent possible accidents caused by others.
