I finally got my N93!

Barely opened the box. Im at work so I cant really fiddle with it much. What do I need to do first?

Do the usual 24hr initial battery charge, leave it power off? or can mess with it already? This is my first NICE/SWEET phone so I want to use it to its fullest.. Sorry to sound weird, Im just freakin excited!

Any tips?

use it till the battery is fully dead then give it a full 12 hour charge(without turning it on durring this process)...

Thanks guys, i dont know about the 72 hrs, that might fry the batteries. Im gonna wait until the weekend for the 1gb minisd.

Congrats! I only charged it for like 4 hours.
The user manual doesn't state for users to charge that over. It even says don't keep it plugged when battery's full. (look yourself in the user manual)

I know in old models phone, we need to charge it for like 12 hours. I don't think that we need to do that in the new nokia phones.

(ps: correct me if i'm wrong. Please show some proof that you're right.)

Guys, really nood question here. As Darla suggested, before downloading anything, i should check the fw. Its really outdated. How do I upgrade? Im not confident to do it on my own after reading a couple of stories people have posted about the process leaving them with expensive paperweights.

Use the http://www.nokia.com/A4176089]Nokia Software Updater.

It's pretty straightforward and I've updated my N91 twice with no problems.

Just make sure u have a stable internet connection. And don't go anywhere near your phone or computer when the update is in progress. It should be fine. Make sure you don't have your minisd in the phone when updating.

And congrats on the N93. Its a gr8 phone.

there is no fw update thru nsu for the n93 atm...we all have to wait

The battery automatically stops charging once it detects itself as full.
CHarging longer than the full-charge point is pointless.

However, it cant fry your battery
