I got in a car accident today =\?

Well, today, i got into a car accident. what happened was i was on the freeway, and i rear-ended some guy cause of the rain. Well, the thing is, i had 3 other minors in the car with me, and im a minor myself. A highway patrol came and talked to us, but what happens in my case? does that mean i lose my license because i not only am "at fault" for this accident, but i also transported minors? and not only am i worried for myself, but did i jeopardize their chances of getting their licenses? The highway patrol guy said that i wouldn't get it taken away, but after reading the rules and looking over some stuff, im really confused. We're calling the dmv today, and btw, the accident was at like 5pm. ANd im just worried about my lciesne being taken away because i am committed to a lot of volunteer work, and it's just i need transportation to those places; i.e. churhc, blood bank, and library. I'm just really worried about what's going to happen in the end, im not actually PLANNING on driving anytime soon, seeing how im almost scared too. I just am worried that im stripped of my privilege forever. =\
