I got bitten by a tick while hiking, it's still hurting what can I do?

I went hiking in OC, it was my first time. My bf also got bitten by his healed as soon as we removed the tick, but I'm still hurting. Sleeping on the side with a bite or turning my arm hurts so bad. I'm planning to go to the school nurse tomorrow. Is there anything I can do? I don't know what king of tick was it...the only thing I remember is that is was kinda black or dark tick.
